Open Position – School Principal
PVS is now accepting applications for the position of principal for the next academic year 2012-2013.

Pleasant View School currently provides a full-time Daycare, Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten thru 8th grade. Our mission is to prepare generations of scholars with a strong Islamic identity, leadership and academic excellence who make a positive contribution to the global community. We strive to prepare students to be committed balanced Muslims, knowledgeable Scholars, contributing Citizens and Community Builders.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide Managerial and Leadership skills with sound and broad understanding of Islam by being a good practicing Muslim
- Build solid Interpersonal skills that can be translated into a positive work environment and a strong community relations
- Identify, attract and nurture talented teachers and staff
- Establish and promote high standards and expectations for all students and staff and account for academic and professional performance
- Manage, evaluate, and supervise effective standard operation procedures consistent with the philosophy, mission, values, and goals of the school including: academic and Islamic programs, athletic programs, and discipline systems to ensure a safe environment
- Devise and utilize assessment tools for teachers, personnel management, office operations, facility maintenance, and emergency procedures
- Brief the Board of Directors regularly about the daily operations and the academic needs of the school.
Qualifications:
- An advanced degree in Education or related fields with considerable experience in school administration/leadership with proven record of teaching.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and good background in Arabic language.
- Able to design, improve and assess academic and Islamic curricula
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work with teachers, staff, and students with demonstrated ability to embrace and respect diversity
