Science Fair

The Annual Science Fair is scheduled the second week of January for grades K-8. Students at the same grade level compete amongst themselves where they produce quality and creative projects. Projects are judged for creativity, Scientific Method, and presentation. Winners participate in Memphis-Shelby County Science Fair on the city level.

Spelling Bee

The Annual Spelling Bee is held on February each year for grades K-8. The winner represents the school in the citywide spelling bee.

Reading Fair

PVS Annual Reading Fair which is held on March, The National Reading Month, provides our students with the opportunity to share their favorite book through a story board or power point presentation. The projects are judged for content, creativity, and effective use of materials. Students may dress like the protagonists of their book.  2010 Reading Fair Projects

PVS Panthers

Our athletic program is very diverse and serves all age levels. The program offers opportunities for s and boys to join the team of their choice: Volleyball, Soccer, and Flag Football. PVS Panthers were able to distinguish themselves among other fully establishes teams in the city.

Morning Assembly

This forum is available for students and faculty to present skits, recite poems, news, etc. in addition to Qur’an recitation and Hadith. It is a wonderful venue to highlight many events, dates, and recognize accomplishments. Morning assembly starts at 7:50 am and concludes at 8:00 am.

International Food Festival

The Annual International Food Festival which is coordinated by the PTO is a fun-filled learning experience for students, faculty, and parents. It is scheduled during the month of April, weather permitting. Classes prepare fascinating tables with cultural food, clothes, and decorative items. They also dress in cultural clothes for that day.

Eid Carnival

The carnival is coordinated by the Students Government Association at the school. Food, rides, contest, face painting, and many other activities are planned on that day. Students look forward to this celebration every year.

Girl Scout Troop 600

Our troop began on November 28, 2006 under the leadership of 3 former Scouts, the enthusiasm of students in all of the grade levels, and the permission of Pleasant View School. We now have s from Kindergarten to the 7th grade, and volunteer moms who are absolutely fantastic!
